পথ — Bengali for “path”

The path from cart to conversion, built in blocks

Multi-step checkout, order bumps and one-click post-purchase upsells for WooCommerce. Block-native, HPOS-native, and everything it records stays in your own database.

Free forever on unlimited sites. Pro from $99/year — half what CartFlows charges.

The free plugin is a real plugin

Not a trial, not a nag screen with a checkout attached. Everything below works fully, forever, on as many sites as you like.

Multi-step checkout

Split the one-page checkout into Contact, Shipping and Payment. If the JavaScript fails to load for any reason, every field is still there and the customer completes an ordinary WooCommerce checkout — the steps are a presentation layer, not a new flow.

An order bump above the pay button

One offer, with your own headline, description and price. Accepting it adds the product to the cart, so tax, shipping and coupons all recalculate and the customer is charged exactly the total they agreed to.

A checkout field editor

Add, remove, reorder and relabel fields. Fields that would break an order — the billing email, the country tax is calculated from — cannot be removed, and the screen says why rather than silently ignoring you.

A thank-you page you built

Replace the order-received page with anything you can make in the block editor. The receipt itself never goes away. Set one per store, per product, or per funnel.

Five checkout templates

Minimal, Split, Sidebar, Wide and Classic, shipped as WordPress block patterns. Applying one inserts blocks you own from that moment — including after Poth is uninstalled.

Conversion analytics

Checkouts started, orders placed, conversion rate and bump take rate. Stored in your own database, computed from unique sessions rather than page views, and never sent anywhere.

Pro

One-click upsells, done carefully

This is the feature that moves money without a customer present, so it is the one worth explaining in detail rather than advertising.

One click, no card re-entry

After the order completes, the customer sees an offer. If they accept, the payment method they just used is charged again and the product joins the same order.

It cannot charge twice

Every offer is claimed in the database, under a unique key, before the gateway is called. A double-click, a refresh or a back-button press during the charge collides with its own earlier attempt and does nothing.

A decline costs nothing

The customer sees a short message and moves on. Their original order is untouched, nothing is added to it, nothing is retried, and nothing is queued to charge them later.

Nobody is shown a button that cannot work

Whether the charge is possible is checked before the offer renders. A customer whose gateway cannot be charged off-session goes straight to their receipt and never sees an upsell at all.

Which gateways can be charged again

WooCommerce has no API for charging a saved payment method a second time, so every gateway has to be handled specifically. Poth does two itself. The rest work through Chala Subscriptions, which already solved off-session charging for all of them.

  • StripeCharged directly by Poth, using the keys already in WooCommerce
  • PayPalVaulted payment methods, via WooCommerce PayPal Payments
  • RazorpayThrough Chala Subscriptions
  • MollieThrough Chala Subscriptions
  • PaystackThrough Chala Subscriptions
  • SquareThrough Chala Subscriptions
  • Authorize.NetThrough Chala Subscriptions

Before you buy, know this: the charging logic is covered by the test suite — amounts, idempotency, decline handling and the fail-safe paths — but the end-to-end run against live Stripe and PayPal test modes has been written and not yet executed. This note stays here until it has. If that matters to your store, wait for it to change.

Deliberate omissions

Four things Poth will not do for you

Every one of these is a feature a competitor ships and this plugin refuses. If you want them, buy the other thing — you should find that out here, not after paying.

Social proof shows real orders, or nothing

The “Sarah in NYC just bought this” notification is drawn from your store's actual recent orders, and shows a first name and country — never a full name, a city, or an order value. There is no invented-name mode. A quiet store shows nothing.

Stock indicators read real stock

“Only 3 left” appears when WooCommerce says there are three left. There is no setting to show a low number anyway, and nothing appears at all for products where you are not managing stock.

The decline link is a real link

On the upsell page, “no thanks” is full-size, full-contrast and underlined. The page also states in plain words that accepting charges the card, with no further confirmation step. Both are asserted by the test suite so they cannot quietly erode.

Recovery emails go through your server

Abandoned-cart emails are sent by your own site's mail configuration. Nothing is routed through us, no sending service is involved, and every message carries a one-click unsubscribe that cancels the whole sequence.

How it is built

Claims you can check by reading the source, which is GPL and on WordPress.org.

Money is never a floating-point number

Every amount is an integer in the currency's smallest unit, in a value object that refuses to add dollars to euros. JPY has no minor unit and KWD has three; the plugin knows, because getting that wrong is a rounding error in somebody's revenue.

A broken Poth still takes the order

Every point where Poth touches the checkout is wrapped. A bump that cannot render is not rendered; a step that cannot split falls back to one page; an upsell that cannot draw goes straight to the receipt. The default WooCommerce checkout always completes.

The line item is added after the money moves

Charge, verify the amount the gateway reports against the amount asked for, then attach the product. The other order round leaves customers owning things nobody paid for.

Nothing identifies a shopper before they buy

Funnel analytics run on a salted hash of a first-party cookie. There is no third-party script, no fingerprinting, and no identity attached to a session until an order exists.

Against CartFlows

The incumbent, and the plugin most people are leaving when they find this one. Prices are their list prices at the time of writing.

All four Nishchoy plugins — $329/year

Nishchoy Reviews, Uttor AEO, Chala Subscriptions and Poth Checkout together, against $476 bought separately. They are built to work as one: Chala makes Poth's upsells work with every gateway, Reviews puts verified ratings on order bumps, and Uttor emits the commerce schema for all of it.

Questions

Is the free version crippled?

No. Multi-step checkout, an order bump, the field editor, a custom thank-you page, five templates and conversion analytics all work fully and forever, on unlimited sites. Pro adds the funnel — landing pages, upsells, downsells — and the things that need one.

Will it break my checkout?

Every point where Poth touches the checkout is wrapped, and every failure path falls back to stock WooCommerce. The test suite includes cases that simulate each injection point throwing and assert the order still completes.

Which gateways support one-click upsells?

Stripe and PayPal are charged by Poth directly. Razorpay, Mollie, Paystack, Square and Authorize.Net work when Chala Subscriptions is installed, because Chala already solved off-session charging for all of them. A customer on any other gateway is never shown an offer.

Has the charging been tested against real gateways?

The logic around it has: amounts, idempotency, decline handling and the fail-safe paths are covered by the unit suite. The end-to-end run against live Stripe and PayPal test modes is written but has not been executed yet, and this page will say so until it has. If that matters to you, wait for the note here to change.

What happens to my funnels if I stop paying?

Nothing is deleted. Your funnels, conversion history, recovery log and the record of every charge stay exactly where they are. Pro's features stop running and the free plugin carries on. Renewing turns everything back on where you left it.

Does it work with the block checkout?

Yes, and that was the first target rather than an afterthought. Poth registers a WooCommerce Blocks integration and extends the Store API, so bumps, steps and badges render inside the block checkout's own layout. Classic themes get shortcodes.

Can I move from CartFlows?

The free plugin imports CartFlows funnels; Pro also imports FunnelKit. Structure and settings convert cleanly. Page designs do not — those are page-builder documents and Poth is block-native, so the importer tells you plainly which steps need rebuilding rather than importing markup it cannot render. Nothing is deleted and the other plugin keeps working.

Do you collect any data from my store?

No. There is no phone-home, no telemetry, no third-party analytics script and no external asset. Conversion data lives in your database and recovery emails go through your own mail server.
